EMBASSY HOSTED A TOURISM SEMINAR FOR JAPANESE TRAVEL AGENTS TO STRENGTHEN COOPERATION IN TOURISM INDUSTRY

Tokyo, June 14: Embassy of Kazakhstan in Japan in cooperation with Japanese travel agencies held a seminar on tourism development and perspectives in Kazakhstan.

During the seminar representatives of major Japanese tour operators listened to the presentation of Kazakhstan’s tourism industry, infrastructure and facilities improvement projects, new tourist destinations  and routes.

Rapid economic growth of last two decades has made Kazakhstan an increasingly popular tourist hotspot. Travel agencies highlighted the rising interest of Japanese tourists to Kazakhstan’s historical and cultural heritage as well as to natural sights. They expressed their hope that opening of direct flights between two countries would lead to growth of tourist flow from Japan to Kazakhstan significantly.
