KAZAKHSTAN OPENS HONORARY CONSULATE
OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN IN OSAKA
Osaka, December 4: Kazakhstan has opened an Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Osaka, Kansai region. The opening ceremony for the new consulate was attended by His Excellency the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Japan, Mr. Akylbek A. Kamaldinov, and government representatives from Kazakhstan and Japan.
The opening of the Honorary Consulate follows the October 22 appointment of Mr. Shiro Kawashita, an Executive Officer and Corporate Vice President of Toshiba Corporation, and General Manager of the Toshiba Kansai Branch Office, as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Osaka.
Commenting on the opening, Ambassador A.Kamaldinov said: "I would like to express my gratitude on the opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Osaka. I would like to take advantage of this opportunity to strengthen the economic and cultural relationship between our two countries."
Mr. Kawashita also welcomed the opening and said: "It is a great honor for me, and for Toshiba, that I was named Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Osaka. I will do all I can to contribute to enhancing a warm spirit friendship and goodwill between Kazakhstan and Japan."
It is expected that the Honorary Consulate will strengthen partnership between Kazakhstan and Japan, will promote mutual understanding and friendship between the people of Kazakhstan and Japan.
